YMCA Awards Level 2 Award in Walk Leading
This RQF course is aimed at individuals wishing to lead safe and effective walking sessions for mixed ability groups. This is an online training course with assessment via video.
The Walk Leader qualification provides students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to plan and deliver fitness walking sessions. It is ideal for those working in health or fitness roles with a community focus in either the public or private sector. Students may even be volunteers looking to set up group walking classes in their own community.
Walking is one of the best forms of activity to improve health as it’s easy to set up with minimal resources. It can also be adapted to suit all fitness levels and a group session makes it a fun social activity too.
