What is the difference between a Chair-based Exercise Instructor and RQF Chair-based Exercise Instructor?

The e-learning resources for both of these Chair-based Exercise (CBE) Instructor courses is the same and it’s entirely your preference which qualification you chose to complete. Both enable you to lead your own chair-based exercise classes for frailer older adults. The RQF CBE qualification requires sending practical evidence as part of the assessment and includes face-to-face workshops and so takes longer to complete.

Do I need the RQF version of the Chair-based Exercise qualification?

This really is a matter of preference and depends on whether you might want to progress into other areas of Adult Fitness in the future. If you just want to lead your own Chair-based Exercise Class the Chair-based Exercise Instructor qualification will suffice.

I have a Chair-based Exercise qualification already, can I ‘add on’ a unit so that I have the RQF accredition too?

Please contact us directly about this as we will need to review this on an individual case-by-case basis.

Once I have my CBE qualification will I be insured to run my own classes?
