Generic chair-based exerciseA versatile and balanced class that targets mobility, aerobic fitness, strength, and flexibility. This format can be tailored to programme or participants’ goals, with options to emphasise specific components or add a relaxation segment. Equipment such as resistance bands can be incorporated for variety and progression.
Core balanceThis multimodal programme builds on the principles of generic chair-based exercise, with a special focus on core stability, leg strength, and balance. The extensive range of new multilevel exercises improve both static and dynamic balance, as well as walking balance, to enhance functional movement and reduce the risk of falls.
Chair aerobics OR Chair HIITA fun, rhythmic workout designed to improve aerobic fitness through continuous seated or supported standing movements. Add strength or core stability sections for a more comprehensive session if wanted. Choose from a variety of choreography styles to create a traditional aerobics feel, with music either as a motivating backdrop or an integral part of the class, guiding participants to move to the beat.
Seated combatChannel your inner fighter with this exciting format inspired by boxing and kickboxing. Performed from a seated position, this class improves aerobic fitness, coordination, and upper body strength. Optional padwork in pairs adds intensity and engagement. Music can be used to energise the session or set the rhythm for simple, effective choreography.
Chair gym OR Chair studio resistanceA strength-focused class designed to build muscular strength and muscular endurance. Using equipment such as resistance bands, weighted balls, dumbbells, or towels, participants perform seated or supported standing resistance exercises. Sessions can follow a structured gym-style format with sets and reps or incorporate music for a dynamic, studio-like experience that also boosts aerobic fitness.
Seated supple strengthA calming, mind-body workout inspired by yoga, focusing on mobility, flexibility, and core strength. This format emphasises controlled, seated movements that combine flexibility with stability, allowing participants to move freely and efficiently through a comfortable range of motion. Perfect for improving posture, relaxation, and overall well-being.
Throwing and catching gamesA fun and interactive session designed to develop motor skills, functional fitness, and social engagement. Participants enjoy solo, paired, and group activities using a variety of equipment, such as balls or beanbags, to improve coordination, reaction time, and physical fitness in an enjoyable, social setting.
Target gamesThis engaging format focuses on improving functional skills, fitness, and hand-eye coordination through target-based activities. Solo, paired, and group drills and games encourage participants to develop motor skills and physical fitness while fostering social interaction. A variety of equipment keeps the sessions fresh and exciting.
