This qualification is designed for individuals who are interested in health and keen to help others lead healthier lives through increased physical activity. Through this course, you will deepen your knowledge and understanding of several key areas.
Firstly, you will explore the reasons why some people do not participate in regular physical activity, examining the barriers and challenges they face. Secondly, you will learn about the wide-ranging health benefits of physical activity, including both physical and mental well-being. Lastly, the course will equip you with strategies to support and encourage individuals to enhance their health by becoming more active.
This Encouraging Physical Activity course can be completed online.
On successful completion it leads to a RSPH Level 2 Award in Encouraging Physical Activity.

Format
Complete the Encouraging Physical Activity course online via AllActive’s Learnstream platform. The course includes videos, downloads and podcasts covering the content. You’ll have 12 months’ access in which time you will need to have taken your workbook for assessment.
Assessment
- To achieve this qualification, you need to complete a workbook which covers each of the learning outcomes. The completed workbooks are then sent to us for marking. We may then have some further questions to clarify what you have written or to supplement your answers to ensure the learning outcomes are met fully.
- Once all Learning Outcomes are met in full, we can then claim your certificate.
- You’ll retain access to the course for 12 months, allowing you to revisit the material after completing the course.

Who is this course suitable for?

Does this course enable me to assess or diagnose people’s health and fitness?
No, this qualification is not about assessing or diagnosing people’s health and fitness using detailed questionnaires or specialist exercise equipment and techniques.
How do I get my certificate?
After your workbook being signed off as a pass, it will be internally verified and then moderated by RSPH. Following this quality assurance process, RSPH will award your ecertificate.
What happens if I don’t pass the assessment?
To achieve this qualification, you need to complete a workbook which covers each of the learning outcomes. The completed workbooks are then sent to us for marking. This course is endorsed by The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity with 3 CPD points (to CIMSPA’s Health Navigator Professional Standard).
Is there are hard-copy book with the course?
There is not a course book however you will have a years’ access to the course so the content can be revisited for reference after gaining your certificate.
Is this course available in different languages?
If you would prefer to view the course in a different language, this can be done easily. Our eLearning platform is compatible with the built-in translation feature available in Google Chrome, allowing users to translate the course content into a wide range of languages, including Urdu.
Most of the course content can be translated, including video transcripts. This means that while watching the videos, learners can read translated subtitles/transcripts alongside the content to support their understanding.
We can also provide step-by-step guidance for anyone who would like assistance in translating the course and accessing the translated content.
