e could see within our team we needed everyone across the board to be qualified in chair based exercise instructor so we got in contact with AllActive to put on a day’s qualification within one of our facilities so all our staff could access it and from a cost factor would be a lot more cheaper.
What is your role at Middlesbrough Council?
I am a senior Health Development officer, public health, Middlebrough Council. I work across a variety of physical activity sessions/ programmes like Exercise Referral programme, Pre and post-natal, Love Your Active Life sessions, Work Place health sessions, Stroke rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation and community sessions.
‘We thought the qualification would help in the areas of work we provide as a service e.g. falls prevention, 50+ sessions etc. Also having more staff qualified would help with cover and still be able to provide a quality session.’
What did you think of the course delivery?
The days qualification was perfect suit for our team, our tutor was excellent, helpful and very supportive to suit all our individual needs.
